Y5 - BR

Hi! We are Class BR (Year 5) at High Spen Primary School.

BR stands for the one and only Bobby Robson! He was a footballing legend and a much-loved North East hero.

In our class, we share the values that ‘Wor Bobby’ personified during his life and career. Topping our list of values are: being friendly, being caring and being 100% committed in what we do.

We chose friendly because we think being warm, open and enthusiastic is the best way to connect with others – something that Bobby Robson did wherever he went.

We chose caring because we want to help make sure our classmates are happy, well and able to learn. Bobby Robson always took time to care for his family, friends, players and the people he met.

Finally, we chose being 100% committed. When Sir Bobby did something, he really gave everything - heart and soul. We believe it is important to give your best even when (and especially when) you’re doing something tricky or unfamiliar. It’s amazing what you can achieve when you do!

We are proud to be named after Bobby Robson! You are welcome to drop by and see what we are doing if you are in our school. Our classroom is just off the main hall between Class FWD and Class MY.

This year we have Mr Cradock as our class teacher, supported by Miss Hackney.
